Venue

The SCC 2027 will take place in the city of Bremen, Germany. Bremen is a vibrant Hanseatic city in northwest Germany with around 570,000 inhabitants, combining a rich maritime heritage with a strong focus on innovation and research. Its historic center features the UNESCO-listed Town Hall and the famous Bremen Town Musicians, while the city as a whole offers a compact, welcoming, and international atmosphere.

Bremen is an important industrial hub, home to key players in aerospace, automotive, logistics, and maritime industries, including Airbus, Mercedes‑Benz, and a major European space cluster centered around OHB. At the same time, the city has a distinguished academic landscape, with the University of Bremen, Constructor University, and numerous non‑university research institutes such as Max Planck, Fraunhofer, DLR, and DFKI institutes. This close integration of industry, science, and society makes Bremen an inspiring setting for conferences and international collaboration.

The conference will take place at the Main venue of the conference is the "GW1 Hörsaalgebäude" (GW1-HS) at Universität Bremen.

The conference will take place at the GW1 Hörsaalgebäude (GW1-HS) at Universität Bremen, Universitätsallee 1, 28359 Bremen.

by Public Transport

• Bus 22 or 28: Get off at “Wiener Straße”. The GW1 Hörsaal building is there.
• Tram 6: Take tram line 6 towards Universität, then get off at “Universität-Süd”. Walk about 5 minutes along Universitätsallee in the direction of travel. The GW1 Hörsaal building is on the left-hand side, opposite the “Universum” science museum.

From the city centre, follow the road towards the university (Universitätsallee). Park options are available near the building along the road shortly before the entrance, or at the larger university parking area behind the GW1 building (right-hand side).

Free parking is available near the GW1 building along the road shortly before the entrance, as well as at the larger university parking area behind the building (right-hand side).

There are bike racks directly by the entrance of the GW1 building.

Public Transport

Bremen’s tram and bus network connects the university campus with the city centre and main station.

• Tram 6 runs from the city centre (Domsheide, Hauptbahnhof) towards Universität. Get off at “Universität-Süd” and walk about five minutes along Universitätsallee. The GW1 building is on the left, opposite the “Universum” science museum.
• Bus 22 or 28 serve the stop “Wiener Straße” right at the GW1 building.

Accommodation

Several hotels are conveniently located either within walking distance of the venue or easily reachable via public transport. A limited room contingent has been arranged for SCC 2027 participants at the following hotels – please mention “SCC” when booking.
